What's new with Elisete
Elisete wrote the song I am a Drag Queen as an empowering song for the LGBTQ community and for anyone still struggling to show all his colors.
The song emphasises that we must find a cure and vaccine for the homophobia and racism epidemics.
Elisete loves people for who they are and the song is a celebration of our life.
It sends an empowering message to the LGBTQ community but actually addresses everyone from the joy and acceptance tribe, everyone believing in diversity and colorfulness that accepts every person as he is.
Elisete hopes we’ll soon understand we are all one, each one is a full universe, each one has his unique colors and it’s not always easy to pave our way in the world when you are different.
Elisete loves colors, enjoys dressing in many styles and loves styling. She is no stranger to the need to fight for the right to be who you are and she’s very supportive of the LGBTQ community.
When Elisete takes part in the pride parades in her many costumes she sees myself as a drag queen of honor and that was the seed for the birth of the song.
Elisete urges us all to celebrate life, color, joy and human diversity and to give everyone a place under the sun.
In the clip Elisete changes styles and costumes at a dizzying pace and give a taste of the feeling of being Elisete in this world.
Elisete hopes you will join the celebration and learn to accepteach one and especially yourself as you are.
It Is time - Elisete felt it was time to get together at home, it's time to think positive, it's time to invest in the family and it's time to sing about it all to give the world a good feeling that will help us be healthier and happier.
The song It Is time is her gift to the people of Israel and the world to make us happy and give us all a feeling of hope and optimism.
Elisete felt that the lyrics and melody were simply flowing out of her and immediately mustered up the courage a week before the lockdown to drive to Tammuz Studios to record the song.
She enlisted the help of her daughter Alin Retter, who is also a multi-talented woman - a talented singer, athletic and national champion in several professions, twice a participant in Ninja Israel and also a very active Instagram and TikTok star.
The guitars are by the excellent Arik Shahar with whom Elisete has already collaborated in the song Inspired by the sun. Even her dog Mishka joined the effort.
The song was recorded in three versions - in Hebrew, English and Portuguese at Tammuz Studios with the wonderful Raz Burg who also did the arrangement of the song. She then immediately turned to filming the clip.
In the clip, Elisete created with the help of her paintings the optimistic world that she thinks we all deserve and is possible for all of us with the power of thought.
May we all have an optimistic and healthy time and learn to unite as human beings without the boundaries of gender, color, origin, sector or country.
Elisete is a sensitive and optimistic artist striving to take part in the repair of our world.
As a person, as a singer with a mission and as a Brazilian, she is feeling the pain of the scorched and destroyed Amazon forests and she wants to cry out to raise awareness and stop the damage that man is causing to nature and thus to himself.
My Amazon hope is both Elisete’s prayer and a cry for change. She sees the images of the smoky forests, the dead animals, and the Indigenous peoples who mourn the nature that goes up in flames and her heart goes out for them.
Elisete thinks it's time for an immediate change, the madness must stop. Greed and apathy should make way for empathy for nature and for people and the earth in general. Only so, she believes, change for the better will come.
Caring for nature, will help us care for each other.
Of the 7 languages she speaks and sings Elisete chose to write and sing the song in English to bring her prayer to as large an audience as possible in the hope of contributing to the change for the better.
The album ‘Inspired by the sun’ is a rhythmic, happy and essentially electronic album. In fact, it is the mirror image of the previous album 'Quiet' which was acoustic, pensive and reflective. ‘Inspired by the sun’ deals with the healing of our pains and with acceptance of life through rhythm, light and joy. Elisete takes us with her caressing Brazilian way from pain and sorrow straight to the sun and the Carnaval. She has no illusions about the nature of the world, she simply believes that it can be corrected through universal love, music and true joy.
