My tour in Russia and my next show in Hasimta theater
I just came back from 3 shows in 3 major cities in Russia: St. Petersburg, Kazan and Yekaterinburg. It was a very intensive time for me with 8 flights in just 5 days! These cities are in the north of Russia so I also experienced the 'White nights' – there is light until very late and the day starts again at a very early hour.
After learning Russian for a few months now, this trip was a dream that came true. I heard many stories about Russian people not being so welcoming or that they do not smile so frequently. What I can say is that with me and to me, they smiled a lot. Maybe because I am a very smiling person and have this Brazilian character that combined with my Israeli personality just melt the ice. I made lots of new friends and succeeded to give them, my public there, love and warmth.
It was an incredible experience and at every show I had unbelievable fun. In Kazan, I will never forget the group of very beautiful girls that danced Samba as pros while I sang my songs. It was special for me because they had expressed a lot of appreciation and gratitude for me being there and giving them joy through music! In St. Petersburg, I was part of a big event organized by an Israeli couple that works as diplomats there. They are wonderful folks that welcomed me and made feel at home. At Yekaterinburg I performed for diplomats and the local Jewish community. I met local musicians and had lots of fun doing my show.
What I can say is that I really enjoyed this country and now that I came back to Israel I am even more motivated to keep studying the language, as I love it so much. To speak to my public mostly in Russian gave me a lot of satisfaction and I think my teacher will be very pleased to know about it.
I hope I will always be a double ambassador for both Israel and Brazil and that I will always bring some hope and joy to the people that I will meet on my way.
Amen!
To celebrate this successful tour I invite you all to come and enjoy my show at Hasimta theater in Jaffo on Wednesday 1.6.11.
I will perform with my band and sing my original songs in Hebrew and Portuguese. |
