Gaagua

Gaagua - the second albumGaagua, Elisete's second CD was released in 2006.
Elisete named the album Gaagua (Longing) because although she feels an Israeli she still has longing to the Brazil she left behind – To the children on the rooftops flying kites in the colors of Brazil and to all her childhood memories. Elisete uses the colors she brought from Brazil to portrait our reality in her songs.
The songs reflect Elisete as she is: An almost impossible mixture of simple words touching directly to your soul with Brazilian rhythms that just make you dance. Elisete's optimism and her radiant smile echo along the entire album and allow us to get carried away to the sun bathed Brazil she carries in her hart.
The album is dedicated to the late Ehud Manor that was so supportive to young artists and that accompanied Elisete during the release of her songs to the radio.
In Gaagua Elisete goes another step further beyond singing and writing the lyrics and melodies and she is an active partner in all the production stages including writing the arrangements.

From the press
"You may have noticed(I know you did not)' but Elisete has had a very good year and above all – she released her second album 'Gaagua' (Longing). She succeeds to find the balance between here and there. She expresses the influence from her home in Brazil with the most Israeli music that people in Israel like so much. It's a perfect synergy of the two cultures without one taking over the other. She writes in simple Hebrew, so simple, so lyric and beautiful. Elisete doesn't rhyme each sentence with the following, doesn't get tangled with many metaphors. If this reminds you a little bit of Ehud Manor don't be surprised that the he was a big fan of her songs as she said in her album (She also dedicated the album to him) and I for one don't argue with Ehud Manor. I don't know if Elisete will break out more after this album but I believe that in 20-30 years she will have a tribute album made to her and also a re-master album as they do with the really great ones. We always remember too late".
